Geopolitics, Diplomacy, History, and Culture

Oikumene Eurasia

Oikumene is a term derived from a Greek verb meaning “to inhabit.” It refers to the inhabited, populated, or civilized part of the world, as used in ancient terminology. Eurasia is the large continental landmass that comprises the bulk of the world’s land and population. The Oikumene of Eurasia is the primary stage of the most important and interesting events in the human past and present, and is of great importance globally. This blog focuses primarily on the history, geopolitics (and politics), diplomacy (current events and international relations), philosophy and religion, and culture of the major regions of Eurasia: Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, and East Asia, as well as parts of Southeast Asia and Central Asia. It is my hope that the reader finds the essays and posts on this blog both interesting and informative.
